Sustainability, smart manufacturing, materials for energy applications, materials processing, advancing innovation in higher education
Dr. Marwan Khraisheh is a professor and the chair of mechanical engineering at Texas A&M Univeristy at Qatar. His research focuses on integrating mechanics and materials to develop novel concepts and technologies in smart and sustainable manufacturing for various applications, including transportation and mobility, energy, water treatment and biomedical.
Dr. Khraisheh is a recipient of various awards, including the U.S. National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the Eugene Merchant Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and the Outstanding Research Paper Award from the North American Manufacturing Research Institute (NAMRI).
Dr. Khraisheh is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He has served in various editorial positions for several technical journals.
Dr. Khraisheh received his master’s degree and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Washing State University in 1992 and 1996, respectively.
