Pre-University Schools and Programs

Qatar Foundation began its mission with the founding of a single school named Qatar Academy. Today, as a city of knowledge has grown around that one school, we continue to expand our offerings to foster a culture of lifelong learning in our younger students.

Introduction

01

At Qatar Foundation, everything starts with education. From preschool through to doctoral studies, we offer learning opportunities for students of all ages and abilities. For K-12 students, we offer various programs ranging from IB-accredited school systems to specialized schools that ensure every child gets the education they need.

To give every child the chance to be educated is a gift of promise. A gift of wonderment. A gift that opens up possibilities that can transform lives and develop thinkers, leaders, and creators of great art.

Uniquely Integrated

03

As members of Qatar Foundation, our schools are uniquely integrated into an array of entities and centers that serve Qatar’s needs for education, research, and community development. Our students regularly interact with the surrounding entities to enhance their learning experience and give them a sense of the real world.

01

A taste of university life

Most Education City universities offer summer and winter programs where high school students get a chance to experience university life by attending university-level courses and prepare for what lies ahead.

02

Active bodies, active minds

Our students get to benefit from Qatar Foundation’s community-wide recreation facilities, which include studios, gyms, football pitches, swimming pitches, and more.

03

Getting a jump start on promising careers

Qatar Career Development Center often works directly with our school students, guiding them in the pursuit of their careers by enhancing their skills and helping them choose the right academic path.

04

Field trips to neighboring entities

Students have the opportunity to go on field trips to events held by Qatar Foundation entities, as well as to the laboratories and libraries of our research centers, and our very own Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art.

Qatar Academy Schools

04

Qatar Academy schools follow IB curricula and offer rigorous programs encompassing an international English-medium education, as well as strong Arabic and Islamic studies. We designed these schools to push students to be critical thinkers and active members of society.

Since its launch in 1996, Qatar Academy has grown to five campuses located around the country.

Specialized Schools

05

We think all children should study at a place that allows them every opportunity to thrive. That’s why, in addition to our outstanding Qatar Academy schools, we’ve developed some specialized programs for those looking beyond the norm.
