Women and youth empowerment, family policy, and social rehabilitation
Dr. Sharifa Noaman Al Emadi is currently the Executive Director of Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), a member of Qatar Foundation and a global policy and advocacy institute working to advance knowledge on Arab families and promote evidence-based polices.
Before joining DIFI, Dr. Al Emadi was executive director of international and community relations at Naufar Wellness, Recovery and Treatment Centre, where she also worked as a family and clinical therapist. Prior to that, she was Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre from 2014 to 2017, and Director of Therapy and Rehabilitation at Al Aween Social Rehabilitation Centre.
Dr. Al Emadi is a certified clinical psychologist and an expert in family counseling and in treating behavioral disorders including drug addiction. She is a member of various relevant committees, including the National Committee for Narcotics Control in Qatar, as well as the National Committee for Women, Children, the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities.
Dr. Al Emadi holds a PhD in Psychology and Counselling from Manchester Metropolitan University.
