Brain Education Middle East aims to promote healthy minds at Doha Learning Days

Unlocking your mind to improve confidence, happiness, and creativity, as well as your physical health and wellbeing, is the focus of Brain Education Middle East’s activities that are currently taking place in Education City.

Led by Mohammed Abu Zeinab, Master Brain Trainer and Director at Brain Education Middle East, the sessions are being offered as part of WISE’s Doha Learning Days experiential festival – the first of its kind in Qatar – which is open to the whole community and runs until November 19.

“Generally, everything we do is dependent on how we think, how we feel, and how we behave,” said Mohammed. “This means that – no matter what you wish to become and how you wish to do it – if you don’t have these things in order, everything is going to be affected. It’s all about realizing that you can master, control, and influence the way you think, feel, and act, and not the other way around.

“If people realize they can affect their health by themselves, for themselves, and they can also affect their happiness, peace of mind, and power, then we’ve raised awareness about a very fundamental topic.”

The Brain Education program comprises a range of physical, emotional, and cognitive exercises designed for people of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults, as well as those with special needs.

Leading a session on KiGong for adults, Mohammed discussed the overall benefits of the activity. “KiGong is one of the programs of Brain Education – it’s more of a mindful movement session,” he said.

“It’s about helping people realize that we can have warm bodies, as opposed to hot heads, and how to strike a balance between the two via movement. Essentially, participants should feel a lot more creative, productive, and energetic after the class, as well as calm and peaceful.

“KiGong focuses on Eastern Meriden philosophies and principles, but is also balanced with Western neuroscience, and how we can affect the brain via the body.”

The Brain Education activities at Education City’s Ceremonial Court and Green Spine will include Stress Management – Adults; Track your Brain!; Unlock Body & Mind; and Healthy Gut, Healthy Brain.
