National reading initiative Qatar Reads among those participating in the literary showcase

More than 12,000 people have visited the Qatar Foundation booths at the latest edition of the Doha International Book Fair.

The fair – which saw Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation (QF), attend the first day – allowed QF to showcase its literary excellence through its national reading initiative Qatar Reads.

Al-Jazi Al-henzab, Project Manager, Qatar Reads, said: “Participating in the Doha International Book Fair was a great way to build bridges with the community, which is key to designing our programs. It’s important to listen to the needs of the nation, so we can integrate reading into their daily lives and create positive habits.”
