“This year, because of the pandemic, we have decided to host our summer camp virtually,” explained Ms. Abeer Al-Khalifa, Executive Director, Academic Affairs, Pre-University Education (PUE).

“And while COVID-19 restrictions are beginning to ease, we will go ahead with the digital platform as we are dedicated to creating a safe, happy, and secure space for our participants.”

Qatar Foundation’s Pre-University Education summer camp, Mukhayamna, will take place online from July 5 – 30.

QF’s PUE summer camp is open to school children aged 5-18.

PUE has teamed up with a number of local entities to deliver this year’s camp, including the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Texas A&M University at Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar Scientific Club, Doha Film Institute, and Qatar National Library.

The comprehensive program, open to children aged 5-18, includes language lessons, Model United Nations activities, and musical theatre classes, as well as design, creative writing, technology, STEM, sports, and arts sessions.

Ms. Al-Khalifa said: “We are looking forward to welcoming students to this year’s camp. Every year, alongside our academic activities, we strive to promote a range of other skills, such as leadership, team work, and creativity, while building personal success.

“And this year, we are also offering special classes for gifted students, which – through a challenging, specially-designed program – will help these young people excel, and encourage them to shine.”

Registration for PUE’s summer camp is now open.

The courses will be delivered by teachers from across the QF schools, including Qatar Academy Doha, Qatar Academy Al Khor, Qatar Academy Al Wakra, Qatar Academy Sidra, Qatar Academy Msheireb, Qatar Academy for Science and Technology, and The Learning Center.

“We have no doubt that this year’s edition is going to be a great success, and encourage interested members of the community to register,” Ms. Al-Khalifa concluded.
